As our Mystery School’s Melchizedek initiates know, the Shem-ha-mephorasch refers to the 72-Names of God in esoteric Judaism aka Kabbalah. The 1998 movie Pi studies makes mention of the “two-sixteen” number or the 216 lettered name of God (each of the 72 names has 3 letters, and 72 x 3 = 216.

The 666 number of the Beast in the Greek Bible’s book of Revelation can be written as 216 = 6 x 6 x 6
In the Left Behind series of Christian End Time’s fiction novels, the Anti-Christ character — I think his name is Nikolai Carpathia — has a jet numbered 216 and something else, his residence maybe, I forget what (it’s been 25 years since I read those novels). He uses 216 because it is 666 expanded as 6 x 6 x 6 = 216.

But in Hungarian-jewish Darren Aronofsky’s movie Pi, the 216 “two-sixteen number” as the Cohen genius kid calls it, is in reference to the name of God with the same amount of letters (72 x 3 = 216). In the movie Pi, the kid can figure out the stock market using the number. The Golden Ratio (also featured in The Davinci Code), magical number patterns in the universe, gematria, and Kabbalah, are each mentioned. Pi was Aronofsky’s first movie. His most recent movie was Noah in which he also has esoteric Jewish mysteries such as Zohar (the magical gold substance) and Nephilim (fallen angels who protect man and when they die, shoot up to heaven like angels returning home to God). Aronofsky has other esoteric Judaisms in the movie Noah.

  1. Meant to add there are 72 cards in a Tarot deck, and 72 Hebrew scholars translated the Hebrew Bible into Greek at the Great Library of Alexandria a couple millennia ago, making the Septuagint Bible Yeshua and Mother Mary would have known.
To explain why Jesus / Yeshua could heal the sick and seemingly do “magic”, the Jewish historians said he got a tattoo of the 72 Names on his forearm. That’s a Jewish legend and written somewhere, too. Tattoos are taboo to Jews to this day. Absolutely forbidden.
There are some cool Tarot decks based on the 72-Names and of course the Kabbalah Centre has very nifty products — including some rune-stones with the 72 Names, a kids book explaining the names — for sale.

    1. I’ve been searching for quite some time but have yet to find any information on what you said regarding Jesus possibly having a tattoo on his forearm with the 72 names written on it. I would be beyond appreciative if you could let me know from where you received this information… or to possibly steer me little in the right direction. Any help you could give me on this would be most grateful.

    2. If it’s possible, would you mind telling me the source of the information regarding the tattoo on Jesus’s forearm. I’m extremely interested in learning more on this subject.

      Thank you kindly

      1. It’s from the Jewish Talmud, not sure where. And Jewish legend. Jews are still taught that Jesus got tattoos (probably of the 72 names of God) on his arms and that was the source of his healing powers. Tattoos are considered taboo in Judaism. Bad, bad.

        1. Thank you so much for responding. You’ve been a huge help in getting me on the right track.

  2. There are commonly 78 cards in a tarot deck, 22 major arcana and 56 minor arcana, divided into 4 suits (wands, swords, cups, pentacles) of 14 cards each.

  3. Hi, I am writing a book on Bible codes and would like to use the 72 Names of God diagram that you have. Would that be OK?
