{"id":66,"date":"2008-07-22T13:20:07","date_gmt":"2008-07-22T20:20:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.northernway.org\/weblog\/?p=66"},"modified":"2010-01-18T22:03:06","modified_gmt":"2010-01-19T05:03:06","slug":"its-magdalene-day-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.northernway.org\/weblog\/?p=66","title":{"rendered":"It&#8217;s Magdalene Day Today!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" style=\"float: right;\" src=\"http:\/\/northernway.org\/school\/omm\/MMicon.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"288\" hspace=\"12\" vspace=\"12\"\/>We&#8217;re talking about honoring Magdalene today over on the GoddessChristians forum.\u00c2\u00a0 Some of us are re-dedicating our altars to Her and I got out my red egg, placed it on the altar in our home-chapel, lit a special candle, called over my three little girls and the rest of the family (eleven people living in my house these days!), etc. \u00c2\u00a0We remembered how Jesus said in Mark 14 and Matthew 26 that everywhere his story was told, her anointing of him would be told &#8220;in memory of Her.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>There are no huge celebrations for Our Lady Magdalene, no Christmas or Easter holidays for the veiled goddess of Christianity, but we can start to change that, make this a holy day, &#8220;holiday&#8221;. \u00c2\u00a0Just saying her name, the First Lady of Christianity, is enough to &#8220;remember Her.&#8221;\u00c2\u00a0 ee Mog-duh-lay-nuh is the Greek pronounciation of &#8220;the Magdalene,&#8221; and you can add in MEER-ee-ah at the beginning.\u00c2\u00a0 That&#8217;s how Mary Magdalene is written in the New Testament &#8212; always in Greek, of course.\u00c2\u00a0 In Aramaic it would be Maryam Magdala (or Migdala, pronounced Mig-DOLL-ah). (I think!)<\/p>\n<p>We also played Katherine Conrad&#8217;s awesome song, Mary Magdalene. \u00c2\u00a0If only I knew how to upload music to this page&#8230; \u00c2\u00a0You can get the song and other goddessy tunes here on Katherine&#8217;s website. \u00c2\u00a0Her band is called Aurora. \u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/aurorasong.com\">http:\/\/aurorasong.com<\/a> \u00c2\u00a0Margaret Starbird is very fond of her music. \u00c2\u00a0The CD Pagosa Rose is the one with the Mary Magdalene song. \u00c2\u00a0Margaret&#8217;s favorite song is on their Mystery CD. \u00c2\u00a0I use two songs from Pagosa Rose in my slide-show presentations. \u00c2\u00a0Talk about our Christian Goddess in music&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I am gonna have to figure out how to make YouTube videos so I can put my Magdalene slideshow to the song and make it available for viewing. \u00c2\u00a0Now if only I knew the first thing about it. &lt;laugh&gt;<\/p>\n<p>Other Magdalene authors and presenters are up to cool things today.<\/p>\n<p>Joan Norton, author of The Mary Magdalene Within, writes:<\/p>\n<p>Blessed Magdalene Feast Day to everyone .\u00c2\u00a0 Perhaps the Earth herself is recognizing\u00c2\u00a0 this Feast Day of the Magdalene by &#8220;putting up&#8221; a crop circle with intricate mathematical workings , some aspects which add up to the Magdalene number of 153. This intricate and beautiful crop circle appeared on July 20.
