Jesus Christ, Wife Mary Magdalene Had 2 Kids, New Book Claims

A new book based on interpretations of ancient texts features an explosive claim: Jesus Christ married Mary Magdalene, and the couple had two children.

In “The Lost Gospel,” set for release Wednesday, authors Simcha Jacobovici and Barrie Wilson argue that the original Virgin Mary was Jesus’ wife – not his mother – and that there was an assassination attempt on Jesus’ life 13 years before he was crucified.

The writers say they spent six years working on the book. Their arguments are based on an ancient manuscript dating back nearly 1,500 years, one they say they found in a British library, translating the text from an Aramaic dialect into English.

Mark Goodacre, a professor of religious studies at Duke University, is skeptical of the book’s findings.

“I don’t think that there is any credibility in these claims at all,” Goodacre said. “There is simply no evidence in this text or anywhere else that Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene, much less that they had a couple of children.”

This is not the first assertion that Jesus was married. A fragment of an ancient Egyptian papyrus known as the “Gospel of Jesus’s Wife” was unveiled in 2012, containing the phrase “Jesus said to them, ‘My wife,” although the document was written centuries after Jesus died.

The 2003 novel “The Da Vinci Code” by Dan Brown also highlighted the possibility of Jesus’ having been married to Mary Magdalene.

Personally I do not believe the Virgin Mary was Mary Magdalene…. sheesh, what a stretch to conflate those two!  We have the extra-biblical Gospel of Philip that says “Jesus had three Marys in his life, his mother, his sister and his wife”. But this topic is still one of our favorites, and we do believe Jesus and Magdalene were a couple, probably with children, so I will buy the book. Friend (and teacher) Margaret Starbird was interviewed by the author Simcha Jacobovici during the writing of it, so hopefully some of her views will be in there.

  1. I do believe that Jesus and Mary Magdalene were married and had two children. I think that they married because they had to, not for love. Theirs was a marriage of convenience, an alchemical marriage to maintain the balance between Good and Evil, as Mary Magdalene is the Dark Goddess Hecate. I believe that Jesus was deeply in love with another woman, and that woman was the “disciple whom Jesus loved”. In the same way that people did not immediately identify Mary Magdalene as being a woman in Leonardo da Vinci’s painting, the disciple whom Jesus loved was disguised as a man. Even in love Jesus was sacrificed for the sake of duty, and he married the Church whom he found repulsive. Indeed, we know what the Church does these days, and it’s not exactly pure: “Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water … that she might be holy and without blemish.” Ephesians 5: 22-33. Why would Christ need to purify the church before mating with her if not for the fact that she came from malevolent and sulphurous realms? And this to me sounds like Hecate, representative of the Devil. Jesus was denied his true love and to erase her memory from the Scriptures she was turned into a man.

  2. The three Marys in Jesus’s life were Diana his mother, Diana the woman he loved, and the dark side of Diana, Hecate, in keeping with the duality in the Goddess. Jesus did have two children, but with Diana, the woman he loved. If you look at Giampietrino’s Last Supper, you will see that the whole supper is about a conflict. On Jesus’s right, we have Hecate’s supporters and on his left, we have The Other Mary’s supporters. The Left Path group headed by Mary Magdalene his made of energy stealers and traitors as Judas shows, and in that group two disciples are pointing their fingers towards Jesus’s rightful heirs, who are a threat to them. Mary Magdalene was barren. The circle that she forms with her arms, with her hands joined on the table is wishful thinking. Her belly is an empty hole, an abyss, and she wishes she were pregnant with her belly touching the table. Jesus’s right hand is face down on the table, whereas his left hand is open, showing who he has given his seed to. His true love, who is sometimes plainly painted as a woman with blonde hair in other reproductions, is holding their son, who is wrapped up in the folds of his mother’s red cloak, red as in the blood of sacrifice that this father is about to shed. The hands of Jesus’s love are pointing towards her breasts as if she is about to feed the child. The disciple standing next to the good Mary simulates the form of a child with his cloak to show that Jesus’s true love is already pregnant with their second child. The Last supper is about the enemies of Hecate begging Jesus to legitimize his children, before their legacy is stolen by the black magicians and their Dark Goddess seated on his right after his death. The disciple in green shows this with his arms stretched out: “You are going to be crucified, my lord! Act now!” The disciple seated next to the one in green, stresses this by pointing his finger towards heaven. The good Mary’s most fervent supporter, the one “holding” the child to come, is vehemently opposed to Mary Magdalene getting the credit and the glory to come for having given birth to Jesus’s children: “Look at them!” he seems to say, “Does this bunch of degenerate thieves deserve our Master’s glory? I mean, look at that cow!”
Jesus’s clothes reflect not only the two women in his life, but also his two children: red to say that they are of his blood that Hecate the vampire has come to drink, and blue to say that his children are of his noble blood. In the end, Jesus, inspite of duty, legitimises his family before dying: “When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom He loved standing nearby, He said to his mother, “Woman, behold your son!” (your grandson). Then he said to the disciple, “Behold your mother! (your mother-in-law. Hecate is not my true wife; the church of Satan is not my wife)”. John 19:26
