The day they/we & negativity killed our god

Be sure to follow along on our Easter Cycle page…
Templars especially should treat this day with solemnity, fasting if possible, the wearing of black, the keeping of silence as far as possible.  I like to stop and hold silence when the 9th hour comes along — 3 p.m.
Remember the god they killed today, he’s ours.   And remember how our egos kill our god-self every day, every hour when we let them take over our consciousness, rule our mind.
Because of this holiday, freedom is at hand, freedom from the “little death” as the scriptures say! (the many little deaths we suffer as we navigate thru this maze of life with this chattering in our head “killing off” our consciousness and direct uplink to the Divine).
In Memory of Him (& the Higher us),

  1. Hi Lady Katia,
I just posted this at my Path of the Grail Steward’s yahoo group, thought I would share it here…

    EASTER REBIRTH
    A brilliant light,
    Illuminating that rocky place,
    And from his body, cold,
Rises a beat, a delicate beginning.
    And then…the slightest movement,
    And the slightest of breaths,
As warmth returns, and limbs bend.

    The angel announces his presence
And he steps forward into his time of renewal.
The stone is commanded to open,
And he walks out into the light of the morning
    To await his beloved Magdalene.

    Hail the Victorious King!
    He has risen.
    Amen.

    Love, Jennifer

  2. Hi Katia, I love your concept in this post. It’s such a good way to understand that “cyclic renewal” cycles go on in us daily and that we are daily challenged to overcome what is “god killing” inside of us. I will use your way of understanding the crucifixtion from now on….thank you.

  3. Dear Jennifer: Indeed he is risen! I love your poem. It is so inspiring.

    Dear Joan:
I like that term for Easter’s message, “cyclic renewal”. And yeah, we go thru death and re-birth in our psyches all the time, right? I wonder if we can apply the Christmas message to our daily inner life. Seems to me yes we can because that “story” (that is also a real historical occurrence, in my opinion) also tells of birth into darkness (ignorance of ego) against the odds.
Interesting how we “act out” our myths and our myths expand out our inner life. As above, so below and vice versa. Also cool how holidays with their spiritual dramas help us think of and work with our inner “dramas”. The ancient world did alot of this acting out of spiritual dramas. Mystery plays, weren’t they called? Very cool. And Jews re-enact the Creation Myth every week with their 7-th Day Sabbath observance.

  4. Hmmm

I wonder what this has to do with Eckhart Tollle?

I also wonder about you linking Tolle with esoteric Christianity.

The two represent such clearly different paths.

The first is about transcendence. And oneness.

The second is about incarnation and twoness.

Twoness – without which there can be no LOVE.

    Benevolence perhaps. Goodwill indeed.

But love? Love requires incarnation and twoness …

I am not sure I should say more, but if you or anyone reading this is interested there is more at the website I have just placed as a link.

    Warmly yours,

    Roger

  5. Hi Roger, nice to meet you. I just read some of your website.

Why I mentioned Eckhart Tolle was because when I put these two paragraphs in my post above, I was putting his teachings into a nutshell, using his terms almost word for word. I wrote:

And remember how our egos kill our god-self every day, every hour when we let them take over our consciousness, rule our mind.
Because of this holiday, freedom is at hand, freedom from the “little death” as the scriptures say! (the many little deaths we suffer as we navigate thru this maze of life with this chattering in our head “killing off” our consciousness and direct uplink to the Divine).

As for linking Tolle to Esoteric Christianity, I do find direct linkage between the two in Tolle’s second book, A New Earth. Perhaps as your website seems to imply, you have only read his first book, The Power of Now. I encourage you to read A New Earth and/or to read The Infinite Way by Joel S. Goldsmith, a “classic” in the Science of Mind tradition that Tolle recommends to all Christians who find his teachings resonate with them. Sean Hannity, staunch conservative and Catholic, read A New Earth and loved it, said it fits fine in the framework of Catholicism.
I agree with you that much of the so-called “New Age” material that your blog says you were involved in for 20 years, is sadly warped, narcissistic and not compatible with Christianity, esoteric or gnostic.

I hear what you are saying about love requiring two-ness. There is a Oneness to God, but also a twoness. Both. It’s a paradox.

I would also encourage you to read the provocative book Jehovah Unmasked so that you do not go to your grave believing that life is suffering. You say in your blog and website, we must embrace that suffering. Isn’t that what the Enemy would want us to believe in order to enslave us? Don’t fall for it. I am not saying escapism or denial is the route to go, but the flawed tainted teachings of the Roman Church is not the way to go, either. I have heard Jehovah Unmasked can be read online somewhere, otherwise Amazon has copies here for $15: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1411651472/esoterictheologi

Here is Joel S. Goldsmith’s The Infinite Way — Eckhart Tolle’s teaching in a completely (esoteric) Christian context, written in the 1940’s, recommended often by Tolle himself.
